While communications are available and sent prior to the event there will always be a proportion (hopefully small percentage) of people who do not read or bother with any of this and instead rely on asking questions, working off hearsay or look only at their start time

The most important information is given at the race briefing as this can include changes or clarification of points and so some way or emphasising a start time -10mins (or whatever is required) to account for this without ambiguity and as the single repeated piece of information for those needing it would be of use - they would probably argue this is buried in the race pack, only because they haven't bothered to read it

Would prefer each competitor to have a timing chip and if that means we have to pay more for an entry then we would be quite happy to do so thank you

Well done. A lot of work, and importantly very caring

We love this event but it's disappointing to see how few competitors there have been the past couple of years and it is starting to make our club members see it as a bit of fun rather than a serious event. If our club hadn't been there today I don't think there would have been enough boys in TS3 to fill the podium. It's a lovely event and a wonderful venue so please try to promote it more widely so that our children have stiffer competition.

Combining the TS1 and TS2 into one race was confusing for beginner triathletes. Whilst the concept of counting laps seems very straightforward, in principle, this was a problem with children in TS1 completing too many. The transition area was crowded and a little confusing compared to previous years. However, we love the event. Thank you.
